This is my 1st from 350 Brewing. This is this stout's first review. It marked bottle #125. And since the bottle is given by a friend, I'd be gentle. But no need here. It is a very good stout, a luxurious stout that is amazingly well put together. (Based on reviewing their rather wild website, this stout surprises me... but then, I'm aged 64 and a fuddy-duddy.) Nonetheless, talent is talent and should be recognized.
I poured a rich thick, rich head to get the aromas. Different. Not all the vanilla-like Smells of barrels and heavily roasted malt, but it, too, was very full. Tastes did not disappoint either. Largely the same, but amazingly the alcohol did not interfere. A feat in my book. Nor did the 79 IBU make my buds uneasy. Another feat for a malt-head like me. Feel ? Totally smooth. Smoother than milk. But the best was yet to come. I had some fine milk chocolate. And it met its match.
I don't know how often 350 will brew this. But, I met a new friend.
