We also call this the "Morning After Stout," because it's a perfect way to ease the pain on the morning after a night of celebrating. By combining our Imperial Stout with maple, vanilla, and cinnamon, we created a beer that is both bold and comforting, with a flavor that unmistakably reminds of us your mom's French toast.

L - 1-finger hazelnut head atop a pitch black body.
S - oh my. Maple syrup, vanilla, chocolate.
T - follows the nose. Tons of maple syrup and vanilla. A bit of chocolate, a but of cinnamon. Low bitterness. Moderate sweetness. Low booziness.
F - medium, slightly lacking body with higher than normal carb.
O - damn, does this ever taste like liquified french toast. Not a trace of the 12% abv.

Can from Darrell. Sweet and syrupy, tasty breakfast in a can. Viscous black pour, small ring of beige head. Maple notes, on top of a great stout base.

Nose is maple syrup and booze. It is a thick a creamy stout or in other words exactly what you expected when you bought the beer. Taste is vanilla and maple in the front and the bread/wheat flavor comes second with the cinnamon taking center stage on the backend. This beer has great definition as far as flavor goes. I really enjoyed it and will finish the six pack with pleasure.

Poured a black body with minimal head and place. This is simplistic but the aroma struck me as when I was a kid and would eat cinnamon French toast crunch cereal, and to be honest it pretty much tastes like cinnamon French toast with the barest covering of syrup. Booze is well-hidden for most part, although tended to heat up a little as I slowly sipped my beer, and not the best French toast beer I had as was a little less sweet but pretty enjoyable.

Thanks to DonnieT79 for this one from NBS BIF #11. 12oz can (dated 3/4/20) poured into 14oz teku. Poured a solid black color with 1/2 inch of tan head that dissipated to a thin ring in a few moments.
Maple is strong at the front of the nose, with some spice behind it. The base beer was fairly well hidden.
Same story on the tongue; maple dominant, a tingle of cinnamon heat at the back.
The body was a bit on the thin side for the style, but was smooth, and had a semi-sweet finish.
Drinkability was fine, but, I'm not a big maple guy, so it got a bit boring for me. YMMV.
Overall, a solid and enjoyable enough brew, that is likely not gonna be for everyone. But, if you're into these sort of beers, this one is worth a shot.

Pours black with a one finger tan head that is well retained and leaves excellent lacing. Smells li,e French toast doused with maple syrup and cinnamon with a hint of bourbon. Tastes of maple, cinnamon, vanilla, roasted malts and some bourbon. Medium bodied and carbonated, mouth feel is a bit on the thin side, slightly dry finish with a bit of a metallic aftertaste.

Look: pours a medium-brown color which is darker in the glass. A medium tan head.
Aroma: huge maple and butterscotch out of the can. Closer inspection reveals milk chocolate and lots of maple, like a maple bar donut. Some cinnamon. Faint roasted grains as well.
Taste: lots of maple. Some caramel malt, some coffee, not much chocolate. The base beer seems closer to a brown ale than a stout. Cinnamon is there but restrained.
Feel: medium to full bodied and medium carbed.
Overall: delicious. Great bright flavors that play well together.

This is a beer I’ve gotten in a trade with Superspak
Poured it into a neutral Founders glass.
Pouring a thin brown head fading quickly.
On the nose, maple syrup and vanilla beans with also a French toast flavor.
Taste following the nose, the mouthfeel however is a bit thin for a stout.
Overall a very good beer I greatly enjoyed. Cheers!

Inky black with a thin yet lasting light tan head. Incredible aroma; truly smells like french toast; maple syrup; a touch of bourbon. A rather strange flavor; sweet with an almost sour backdrop; cocoa; diluted maple syrup; a little metallic; a strange bitterness. Heavy body; thick and viscous; oily, chewy.
It looks like the can was filled on 02/12/18. This might explain the weird flavors I pickup. Although one would also expect a big, dark, imperial stout to age well (generally speaking). The aroma was truly outstanding. And the looks were good for a high ABV stout. There is not much of a boozy presence at all. But there is certainly a somewhat off flavor with this beer. Perhaps in my fairly frequent visits to Michigan and Ohio, I might be able to pickup a fresher version. I'm wagering it may have a more appealing taste. I can hope.

Pours black with a finger of khaki foam. Aroma is cinnamon, maple syrup, vanilla beans and toasty, roasty and bready malts. It smells like dessert. Flavor profile is cinnamon, vanilla beans, and maple syrup with roasty, toasty, bready and earthy malts behind. It starts off with the roasty malts and darkness apparent up front and then fades to a more bready, lightbodied finish. Mouth feel is light effervescence forming a soft texture. It has a medium-thick consistency. Overall, heavy dessert up front, but it fades away into a more soothing, neutral finish. It would be too strong if the dessert consistency maintained to the finish.
Served in a 15.5oz Spiegalau tulip from a 12oz can.
