Was looking forward to this one as a stopgap between a good Melvin IPA and a good Melvin IIPA. Plus, Urbn St. ceasing to brew anymore as of three days ago had me thinking it would be the last time I have would get to try it. Will be shorter review because of locations and atmosphere.
Tough to see at Hamilton’s, but poured a caramel, orange, murky color with 1-to-2 fingers of fizzy white head when I got it. Average spotty lacing on the sides of the glass. Average retention on the top all the way down. (Sight - 3.50)
Smelled artificial raspberry, buttery malts, amber malts, corn, sourdough bread and grassy hops. (Smell - 3.25)
Taste followed the nose with artificial raspberry leading the way, followed by buttery malts, caramel, cornbread, grassy notes and some honey. (Taste - 3.25)
Light body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt finish. (Feel - 3.50)
Full body. Sticky texture. Average carbonation. Long, warming, smooth finish. (Feel - 4.75)
I did not like this one and probably overrated it anyway. RIP Urbn St. At least you have your above average pizza. (Overall - 3.25)
