Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a beautiful ruddy thick burnt yellow/orange paper hazed color. The one finger white foamy head glided off fairly quick but left a light messy to lightly foamy trim ring of lace near the top, stuck nicely. Below that some messier foamy lace glossed the sides.
The aroma, well, I have to admit for all of the New England styled IPA's I have tried and their substyles of 'milkshake IPA's' I have to admit - finally I have truly found a New England styled IPA that has a true yet awesomely unreal "orange creamsicle" smell to it. Some subtle lemon/grassy hops underneath balancing very nicely. An even more subtle white bready malt underneath.
The flavor leaned towards a semi-sweet bliss of orange creamsicle to a good amount of grassy hops that seems to come on the more I sip. Not much of an aftertaste, maybe some grassiness and some clean orange pulp.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Nice low carbonation like a good New England styled asks. Quite smooth. Adequate finish of juicy orange components playing with some breadiness.
Overall, I'd say quite nice and well worthy of coming back to.

Muddled gold in hue and pushing an assertive white fluff, this one hints at a dank tinged orange sherbert. Yes, the nose leaps forth with an initial kiss of weed, immediately tamed by a creamy citrus note. Good retention and moderate honeycomb lacing. Flavors are a subtle melange of citrus, grain, lemon, orange, wet grass, and a light tinge of vanilla. Mouthfeel is slightly creamy and fluffy, medium carbonation.
Overall, the nose hints at more, but though the follow through of the flavor is more subtle it is still a very nice ride.

Wonderful aroma: creamsicle( reminds me of anotherOrange Crush, a Finback beer), floral, tropical .

Very smooth moderately thick MF. One of the better MF’s in an IPA I’ve tasted in a while.

Creamsicle- citrus taste followed by a hoppy finish with a with a bit of creamsicle aftertaste.

Great collab with a Finback! Yes- one of my favorite recent hops- Mandarina. Great beer!

 

Pours a trnaslucent orange with a one finger fizzy head. Smells of orange, and creamy oats. Taste is vanilla creamsicle, bitter and very zesty. This beer delivers as promised by the description. Quite smooth and enjoyable. Good example of adjuncts done right.

The milkshake IPA description got me on this one; "lactose, vanilla beans, fresh orange zest, dry hopped with Citra, Amarillo, and Mandarina Bavaria"; however as others have noted, it is a good beer but is overly thin and lacks the deep flavor and aroma I might expect

Look is of bright, hazy straw with a very soft and fluffy white head

Smell gives off notes of raw lactose with some peach, mango, and orange zest to give it a semi-muted sherbet aroma; the bittering notes of hops make themselves known and remind you you're still drinking an IPA

Flavors of orange zest shine through alongside overripe mango and some creamy vanilla carried in on a wave of mild hop bitterness; very soft, but nicely balanced and gives each flavor a bit of attention

Feel is very clearly lactose-influenced, but still maintains a solidly juicy quality; a bit thin at times, but in a way that may be attributed to the style, and not necessarily a knock on the beer

I really like where this is going, but the smell and flavor just taper off too quickly. I won't take too much away from it, though; it's still a good beer, and one that definitely has me interested in exploring the 'milkshake'-style IPA further.

 

 

 

 

Oh no, not again. Many people have speculated that if we knew exactly why the bowl of petunias had thought that we would know a lot more about the nature of the universe than we do now.

Great name, great artwork, even have the whale... but where is the bowl of petunias??? Anyways the beer itself pours a light airy fluffy 1 finger head that fades slowly, with plenty of soapy lacing, super murky pale blond tangerine color

Nose is loaded with fruit, some pineapple and citrus, generic citrus, a little lemon meringue pie, underripe tangerine, some other golden citrus fruit I can't label, a mild orange cream, creamy wheat base, a touch of lactose cream and vanilla icing, a bit of an orange cake with vanilla icing

Taste brings more of that orange cake with vanilla icing, plenty of creamy lactose and vanilla, with lots of orange zest, also orange sherbet all over the place, a bit of tangerine, into big mango sorbet as well, tangerine and clementine as well, underripe peach, and even a little bubble gum, lots of nice flavors, a creamy wheat like base mixed with the lactose. Finish is drier, a touch of bitterness finally, lingering orange sherbet with vanilla icing.

Mouth is med bod fairly creamy, decent carb

Overall a fun beer, although I feel like beers like this are starting to take the NEIPA fad too far, the beer itself should have enough to give it the juicy creamy feel, not needing lactose and vanilla, but it's still an interesting beer pushing that boundary. I think I'll get sick of these really quickly now.
