Sorbet-inspired kettle sour ale with raspberry and lime. Incredibly refreshing with a gentle tartness and creamy finish!

Kegged 9/10/18. On tap at the Beer Temple part of the Half Acre event to share beers that get poor distribution in Illinois.
Sorbae is a very nice tart.
A clear pinkish body with an inviting head. Smells are mostly malt and slightly winey. For Tastes, the tart comes through strongest along with some citrus. Nicely cleanses the palate. Olives bought at the bar made a good accompaniment.
I'm starting to think that kettle sours are much more palatable to my palate than bretts that uncontrollably try to steal the show.
I went on the website of Alvarado Street and was impressed by their ale list and food menu.

Appearance - Pours slightly hazy and deep berry red in color with a pink head that fizzes away as nearly as fast as it's being poured in, leaving a barren surface with a razor thin ring of suds around the edge of the glass. A few tiny dots make up the lacing.
Smell - Lime tartness with lesser berry sweetness.
Taste - Follows the nose. Tart lime, mostly, with a hint of berry sweetness. Finish is nearly overwhelmingly sour.
Mouthfeel - Light-to-medium in body with spritzy carbonation. Drinks easy enough with a crisp, dry finish.
Overall - Good, but man is it sour. Really not much sweetness to balance it out. Almost like drinking straight sour mix.
