Collaboration double IPA with our buddies, To Øl Brewing in Denmark! We didn't hold back on the sexy hops, this one is all Nelson, Mosaic and Strata.

Type: 16-oz. can
Glass: Pure Project 14-oz. Teku glass
From: Liquid Gold in San Francisco, Calif.
Price: $25 for a 4-pack
Purchased: Oct. 18, 2019
Consumed: Oct. 23, 2019
Reviewed as: New England Double / Imperial IPA
Misc.: No canned on date
Picked this up after spending way too much money at Liquid Gold in San Francisco on a work trip to San Jose. Decided on this one over another 4-pack from Alvarado only for the reason that a random said I should pick this because it would never be brewed again. You had me at again. It called for, “Collaboration Double IPA with our buddies, To Øl Brewing in Denmark! We didn't hold back on the sexy hops, this one is all Nelson, Mosaic & Strata.”
Poured a medium yellow hazy color with 2-to-3 fingers of off-white frothy head. Some slow-moving bubble streams coming up along the sides of the glass. Very good uneven layered lacing. Outstanding retention. (Sight - 4.25)
Smelled Nelson, white wine, passion fruit, Strata, grapefruit, viney berries, papaya, stone fruit, hints of trashy Mosaic and bubblegum. Much better from the can with all three hops - Nelson, Mosaic and Strata - coming in strong. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted almost as good as the nose for the most part. Got Strata, Nelson, white wine, viney berry, passion fruit, grapefruit, papaya, bubblegum, hints of black pepper, stone fruit, trashy Mosaic, green onion and herbal. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Oily texture. Average-to-lively carbonation. Long, oily finish. (Finish - 4.25)
An outstanding beer overall. Glad I had it, but not for the price tag. (Overall - 4.00)

L: two and a half fingers worth and excellent looking head with great retention and minimal lacing.
S: notes of melon, pineapple, apricot, subtle citrus, bready yeast and minimal alcohol and dankness.
T: not typical DNEIPA juice bomb, the melon seems to stand out and the taste definitely matches the nose. Has a less sweet taste on the finish and a nice bite for a double.
F: a nice medium body with great carbonation and that exquisite dryness on the finish.
O: they do it again! Wonderful Double NEIPA with definite uniqueness to the style. Juicy looking but with some different flavors and aromas than the typical juice bomb. Very well done.

Stellar hazy, definitely hanging out around the top of ASB's vaunted lineup. They know how to feature & blend the Nelson.
Pours full hazy light orange, thick creamy head with great retention and thick bands of lacing.
Full, intense aroma of bright tropical fruits & white wine grapes, so dank & hoppy. Taste pretty much follows. Feel is smooth & creamy, med body, low bitterness.
