Collaboration with Highland Park Brewery.
An insanely juicy Double Dry Hopped DIPA brewed with our good pals from LA, Highland Park! Inspired by Bob and Dauv’s affinity for hardcore blading, featuring THE MOST RADICAL HOPS! Specifically, Nelson Sauvin, Citra, and Strata. This is a hefty beer with a huge bouquet of pineapple, mango, white grape and orange starburst, along with a balanced bitterness and a big ol’ fluffy body from lots of raw wheat added to the grist. We wouldn’t advise blading after drinking one of these…it’s more for POST-BLADE celebratory purposes

Canned on 10/27/20; consumed on 11/15/20
Pours an opaque, dark golden sunflower body capped with a towering head of fluffy, craggy, white foam; good head retention leaves a puffy layer of cap along with a thick, brooding collar encircling the surface and a moderate amount of chunky, webby lacing spread around the walls of the glass.
Aroma opens with a heavy, pithy resin, quickly subsided with help from candied mango peel and a touch of white grape must and dank accents peaking over the middle; grapefruit juice and a bright, tropical, and mild acidity eases into white peach pith on the close.
Taste shows tangerine sporting a light dankness upfront, soon followed by subtle white grape and pithy orange over the mid-palate before candied peaches impart a saturate a sweetness on the back end with grassy, herbal touches through the finish.
Mouthfeel features a medium body in tune with a moderate carbonation espousing a steady prickle into the mid-palate; just shy of bitterness, a low-lying, hoppy grit marinates into the back end, where a vaguely sticky, boggy, juicy texture shines through the finish with equal parts lightness and heft.
A comprehensive sort of NEIPA, tropically-focused, underscored in dank resin, and definitively sweet while avoiding over-indulgence; easygoing at its ABV and a consistent sample of the appeal in the more saturated examples of the style.

Sweet white wine grape, sweet orange/tangerine citrus, and tropical hoppy dank nose on this one! Yum! Taste follows with a sweet and juicy, soft and balanced, tropical hoppy and citrus bitter finish. This feels great on the palate...and hides the ABV almost too well! This is really good!

Only about a week old.
Super dank winey grape Nelson flavors dominate.
Melon and orange From citra.
Weedy grassy dankness from strata.
Almost tastes like a wet hop.
Mouthfeel thick, borderline on top full and juicy. No alcohol presence.
Impressive if you’re a fan of these hops and the style. Well done.

A collaboration of Highland Park and Alvarado Street, DDH Double IPA, 8.8% ABV
It’s a yellow-orange color, hazy and opaque. The foam is medium size and fine. Smells weedy, Earthy leafy, cream orange soda, grapefruit peel, garden hose rubber-like. It’s much brighter than it smells. It’s medium-bodied. The beer is very juicy, starts with a strong orange juice, pineapple, lemongrass like mango, starburst tropical fruit candy, bubblegum aroma. The beer shows a ripe tropical fruit ester bomb like jackfruit, and the ester peaked at ripe banana fruity. The beer is full of flavor, which is rad! The yeast and hops are both super fruity, and the beer is also boozy at this content of alcohol, the result is strong and bold tropical fruity. The hops leave a strong weedy aroma from the beginning to the end, that like sprinkles of salt and peppers on your scrambled eggs, which add a touch of flavor and spices. The after taste is slightly bitter, shows wild arugula, lettuce, fresh dough, white grape wine, cypress needle, pinewood, young guava aromas. The beer shows hops' power when I burp, I feel the lupin power like hops elixir tickles my tongue. The beer has Nelson Sauvin, Citra, and Strata hops, that’s not a surprise that it leaves so many pleasant aromas that explode in the mouth. I love the addition of Strata which brings the weedy west coast hops aroma to a tropical and fruity DIPA, the result is a more dramatic sensation.
