Collaboration with Highland Park Brewery
An American Pilsner collab with Highland Park Brewery. You just can't collaborate with these guys and NOT brew a lager. It's easy drinking, nuanced and presents beautifully in your glass!

Canned on 10/29/20; consumed on 12/18/20
Pours a crystal-clear, pale straw yellow body topped with multiple fingers of dense, fluffy, white foam; decent head retention leaves a half-finger of rocky cap, thick, chunky collar, and gobs of webby lacing ringing around the walls of the glass.
Aroma shows flaky malt, straw, and semi-sweet grains beneath a grassy dank tone upfront, edging toward peach zest and lemon/lime peel over the middle; a clean minerality and quieted yeast profile carry through the close with intermittent suggestions of fermented honey.
Taste opens with a clean minerality, light yeast profile, and prickly cereal grain showcasing into full-on sourdough bread over the mid-palate; a now-spicy minerality takes over into the back end, where tangerine, white grape esters, and lemon zest contribute more defined, lightly dank, fruity tones as a grassy edge finishes.
Mouthfeel brings a light body with a moderate-high carbonation fluffing heavily before dispersing with a prickle over the mid-palate; zesty grit develops into the back end with a clean spritz enlightening a crisp, dry finish.
An incredibly direct, clean American pilsner, rife with fruity and sometimes dank hop tones atop a delicate, flaky malt foundation which appears more than willing to cede attention to the brighter, earthier textures; not necessarily overwhelming with depth, but its easy composure keeps drinkability with this flavor profile at a maximum.

Clear yellow brew with plenty of foam in the Affligem chalice. Described as an American Pilsner. Pleasant sudsy feel in the mouth. Rich and tastes malty, but with a nice tangy edge, maybe due largely to the carbonation. Faint hint of alfalfa in the nose. Rather sweet but a dry finish.
Very much tasting of bread, with a hint of sourdough. I am reminded of Simpler Times from Trader Joes, which is also quite inoffensive. But this is better, just a mite cloying. From the 16 oz can purchased at the beer store. "Canned on 10/29/2020" on the bottom.
