Have you ever had a single hopped Triple IPA with Nelson Sauvin hops? We were curious too. Following a base beer recipe and hopping rate similar to D3LOR3AN DUST, we obliterated this hazy Imperial hop concoction with the finest lots from our friends at Freestyle Farms in New Zealand. Massive passion fruit, guava, white grape & gooseberry flavors and aromas permeate behind an ultra smooth background lent by low kettle bitterness and high amounts of raw and malted wheat.

Poured a light golden hazy color with three fingers of frothy white head. Could see plenty of fast-moving bubble streams coming up along the sides of the glass. World-class foamy lacing. World-class foamy retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Smelled Nelson, passion fruit, orange juice, Tang, tangerine, gooseberry, guava, orange creamsicle, pineapple, viney berry, white grape and some papaya. Even better out of the can. (Smell - 4.50)
Tasted almost as good as the nose. In order got Nelson, passion fruit, Tang, orange juice, tangerine, gooseberry, guava, orange creamsicle, pineapple, papaya, white grape and viney berry. Fairly smooth for 10 pct. ABV. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, juicy, smooth finish. (Feel - 4.75)
Nice. About as good as I hoped it would be for the brewery (Alvarado Street) and the style (New England Triple / Imperial IPA). (Overall - 4.50)

Sweet, white wine grape, grapefruit citrus, and trop-hoppy dank aromatics on this one! I was expecting more of an "in your face" nose to this since it is double dry-hopped. Taste follows with a tropical hoppy and grapefruit citrus bitter finish...some citrus-juicy booziness shows up on the backend. As it warms, this citrus-boozy vibe becomes more prominent and almost over-powering...like someone dropped a screwdriver (vodka and O.J.) in it! Also, for a DDH triple, all nelson hazy, this is thinner/not as murky-soft as I was expecting...
3/21/22 batch! Now, this is more like it!!! Sweet tropical hoppy, slightly malty, white wine grape, and grapefruit citrus-dank nose on this one! Yum! Taste follows with a murky-soft, citrus and hoppy-dank bitter swallow. Dat nelson-dank diesel goodness lingers on the back of the throat. This is an impressive and great use of Nelson ASB! Great batch! (Rating reflects this batch)
