Bought this at the largest beer store in neighboring Holland. (Can't remember its name at this moment, but they have the best collection of any store I've been to in Michigan. Local craft appreciators will know what I mean.)
Pack Light Pilsener only partially lives up to its name. It is light at only 4.6 ABV and I will suppose it tastes great under the stars in rural Michigan (most beers would.) But this is not a classic pilsener; mostly because it lacks sufficient hops, aromatic and bitter (website lots only 25 IBU... which is OK by me.) While this is a good-Looker with a fluffy head and good retention, Smells are mostly malt and then an unexpected lemon. Tastes largely continue on that line, bread followed by a cleansing finish that seems to use very little hops. Yet the bubbles keep the beer elevated and cleanse the palate well enough to wash down leftovers from Christmas gluttony.
Tripelroot's website is impressive for a young brewery. Their food looks good and seems thoughtful. Their motto is "Social, Sustainable, Simple." All things I believe in. So I give them pretty good OA Hugs.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
