Classic Low End but with a huge amount of Colorado Cascade wet hops that make for a beer with amazing flavors of lemon rind.

750 mL bottle. Very hazy pale yellow. Smell is nicely hoppy. Grapefruit and grass. Pungent. Bretty and a little acidic. Taste is wheaty, crisp, lemony tart. Nice hop flavor again. Grapefruit hop lingers. Light body. Low carbonation. Very nice.

So, unfortunately this bottle got forgotten in my cellar for almost 5 years, but after tasting it, it’s aged well. A 750ml corked and caged bottle, bottled on 28th October 2015. Poured into a Holy Mountain tulip glass.
Appearance: A mostly clear golden colour with a one finger white head that had pretty good retention and left some lacing.
Aroma: Tart, lemon zest, melon, honey, oak, light funk and brett notes.
Taste: Tangy, tart, lemon, lemon zest, lime, white grapes, light funk, brett, and a touch of minerality.
Mouthfeel: Dry, light bodied with moderate to soft carbonation.
Overall: A forgotten bottle in my cellar that I did not get to try fresh, but this tastes great right now. I can’t comment on the wet hops, but it’s got good fruity citrus and white grape flavours that were nicely balanced with the funk and brett. Refreshing and enjoyable to drink.

Lightly foggy shimmering light gold with a compact bubbly off-white head.
This is a light and crisp saison with a lemony grass introduction coming into some hay and mild funk. It becomes softly frothy before the semi-dry swallow.

In September 2022, I had a bottle whose front label no longer officially displays Low End, though it still mentions it in the description. This was a cascade wet-hopped saison exhibiting really vibrant, peachy nectarine and floral kiwi with a mild acidity and faint hint of funk. The hops gave me mental visuals of super green hues, almost giving off nelsony vibes, but I just couldn't put my finger on just what characteristic they were emulating. I'm increasing my 4.01 score based on this new bottle.

really fabulous beer, obviously a wet hopped beer bottle two and a half years ago has changed some, this is drinking amazing right now, a lighter and easier drinking saison here, fully wild, bottled in the fall of 2015. it has a lot of lambic characteristics to it, which make me think the wet hops just did their ageing thing in the beer, no alpha acid at all apparently, and still some subtle citrus to this softly hazy vibrant yellow brew. it smells tangy like lemonade, some crisp acidity and soft oaky funk, well mature now and with a very old world rustic sort of vibe. i would not describe this beer as hoppy in any recognizable sense, i suspect it never really was even when it was wet, thats not really what these guys do, but there is a cool uniqueness here leftover from the wet hops in the flavor. to me though it tastes like wild champagne, white grapey and mineral rich and funky as can be, farmy and musty but dry and brilliant and effervescent at the same time, really unique and really good, to me far more compelling than their base saison, but that could be a product of its age as well. feeling lucky to have had this, even if its not obviously wet hopped anymore its real unique. i hope to try this fresh in the fall if they make it again, but do not think the moment has passed, its drinking amazingly well right now!
