A 750ml bottle with a date sticker of 12/20/17. Poured in a Duvel chalice for the review.
Look- A pale gold with a tiny bit of soapy white foam that disappears almost instantaneously upon pouring. Tiny carbonation bubbles can be seen rising from the nucleation etching on the bottom of the glass.
Smell- Smashed white grapes with mild perfume, green melon, wet straw, cheese, a hint of Band Aid and musty oak.
Taste- Slightly sweet white grapes, anise, citric acid and musty oak.
Feel- Slick and light up, tart and very dry in the finish.
Overall- A lightly fruited sour that is as refreshing as a farmhouse ale on this 95 degree September day. It's a complementary balance of subtle sweet grapes and moderate acidity. A great beer from The Cut series.

Another beautiful expression of complex funk by the folks at Casey, this hazy and headless burnt gold sour has a super funky horse blanket and an aged cheese character that's paired with lemon, white grape, and old, wet walnutty oak. A light fizz runs through the medium body with a dry, filmy finish.
