Sometime Around Midnight is a Double IPA brewed with oats and spelt for a light, fluffy body and hopped it with NZH107 & Vic Secret. Then we fermented this one HOT with Nordic Kviek yeast to really crank up the citrusy flavor & aroma, so you’ll get not-so-subtle notes of citrus & tropical fruit like guava, passionfruit, grapefruit, and lime.

Poured from a 16oz can into a Waterford IPA glass. Pours a hazy yellow with two fingers of soapy white foam head. Pine, blueberry, citrus and melon on the nose. Taste is more bitter pine, berries snd grass. Some melon. Medium-full mouthfeel. The southern hemisphere hops give off grass and citrus and pine with just enough bitterness to balance it out. Good stuff.

16oz can served in a Monhegan pint glass. Canned 12/04/24. Bought it two weekends ago at Drekker, brought it home in a suitcase.
Pours very hazy with a big fluffy head, strong retention, looks like it's going to end up as big, clumpy lacing. Smell is bright citrus rind with a slight sake twist, a little bit of fresh mushroom, some herbaceousness.
Taste is more tropical fruit with citrus and greens in the background, lots of mango rind, a little marshmallow. A bit of booziness, but not a ton.
Mouthfeel is big, fluffy, dry. Very nice IPA, particularly for being a little over three months old.

Purchased as part of a 4 pack . Pours a moderately hazy golden color. Single finger creamy head. Subtle tropical fruit aroma. Beautiful balance between the malt and NZ hops! Moderate mouthfeel with mild hop bite. Overall, a fantastic DIPA from Drekker!

This IPA is made with Kviek yeast, which supposedly gives it a fruity taste. But I didn’t find it that fruity. Not super hoppy or juicy, but good tasting nonetheless. I thought it was a perfect taste to accompany a rich meal. The color was amber, very hazy, lots of particulate matter. Bothered me somewhat. Nice aroma, nice mouth feel. Hops from Australia and New Zealand. Overall favorable impression.

16 ounce can poured into a Tulip.
Canned 2/3/23
This was a pretty good hazy double. Lots of mango and a bit of vegetable in the nose, and plenty of tropical, mango and stone fruit flavors. Sweetness and bitterness are both medium in strength and it is a little peppery on the back end. The soft medium body is somewhat pillowy. No complaints. It was canned 86 days before I cracked open the can so I'm thinking a fresh can must be really nice.

This starts off well enough, with a pint can's contents entirely emptied into a clear Imperial pint glass, with only one pour. How rare and nice it is to not have the ever expanding foam on top of a beer, far too prevalent this days. It's a very opaque
dirty blond brew in color. Although not specifically defined, the combination of starches and hops make a nice smell. The taste is pleasant, but like the aroma, there's no sharp definition to describe. The body is full enough and just sweet enough to carry the hops. Hops lead the taste and they're sufficient to do so, yet somewhat blunted by the starch base. It's not a bad thing, as the balance is commendable. If pressed, a little citrusy could describe the hopping. There's a cleanly sharp finish that somehow doesn't get too dry. Not only was there no ugly foam on top, there was only a little head and it was short-lived. No glass lacing was observed at all. This is a very drinkable DIPA, with a well disguised 8% ABV. Well worth the try, if you can find it.
