From a can from my first Beer Drop. My first ESB. A lovely dark honey color. I like the combination of malt forward and hops forward. Well balanced. Would never guess it was 6 percent. I would order it again.

Bought two cans from Beer Drop.
An enjoyable, well-crafted North American rendition of the Strong Bitter.
Probably average in Looks as the amber is dull, the foam fades quickly and the lace barely sticks around. But Smells say "malt" and that is this malt-heads cue. Tastes are balanced, introducing just enough hops to check the sweet and draw that balance into a pleasant finish. Medium mouth and smooth. Good for a relaxing Sunday in winter.
My first from F&G, I went on their website and they seem to have a typical trajectory for a seven year old family brewery. I like how they Keep It Simple. Graphics, descriptions and taproom photos are all competent and simple. They do not try to do too much and do not lean too much on the common patter of quality and community. Just deliver satisfaction... like their ESB. Glad I have a second can. Cheers !
