32oz crowler served in something like the bulb of a wineglass without the stem. Hotel glass. Got the crowler at Fieldwork Sacramento a couple hours ago.
Pours crystal clear golden amber with an initially large head that collapses into a clotty, lumpy ring and uneven layer across the surface. Lots of visible, active carbonation. Smell is lager yeast, graininess, a little lemon and a a little more grass. Slight zesty spiciness and a little honeysuckle sweetness.
Taste is dryer than the aroma suggested. Still grainy and bready, most of the honeysuckle sweetness is gone. I wish I got a bit more of that zesty spice, it's there as an echo only. A bit doughy, maybe.
Mouthfeel is smooth, medium to light. Overall, it's a pretty good beer.
