Bottle. Might be a little old. Clear gold with rocky head. Grassy sweet honey aroma. Grainy honey sweetness with grassy noble finish. Light body lively.

This is part of my BJCP training/study, so I'll be reviewing this to the style guidelines. 5D. German pils

Pours a nice thick foamy white bread great retention and lacing, medium golden color but a little haze

Nose pretty much what I expected, fair grassy floral hops, more toasted grainy sweet rich malts, faint background sulfur mineral notes

Taste sweet malts, more toasted grainy rich fairly sweet malts, toasted pilsner, then hops, softer but more bitter than Czech versions, floral and little grassy, medium to moderate-high bitterness mostly on the back end, a touch of sulfury minerals, mostly dry finish expected a touch drier and more attention, but style guidelines accept this version which is a little softer since the hop bitterness is on point

Mouth is medium to lighter bod, medium to higher carb, little softness from lager

Overall pretty nice, fairly close to style guidelines but has a bit more softy slight sweeter finish like Czech pils yet bitterness of German, so nice either way, yet not quite on style

A great german pils. Refreshing with a hoppy bite that never overstays its welcome.

Poured from a 330ml bottle into a pint glass.

Pours a pale yellow colour with some lacing and a small, lackluster head.

Smells quite average, slight hops and a hint of malts.

Tastes quite nice, like a normal lager with slightly more hops added giving it more of a crisp bitter finish.

Overall a nice lager, not much to write home about but still alright.

Beer has a yellow color with a creamy head. The aroma was a generic bland beer, not skunky. The taste was crisp and refreshing, with no lingering aftertaste. It is a drinkable brew, good for a couple of drinks. It is not quite what I expected in a German pilsner.

On tap at the Hard Rock (ya I stopped for a beer) in Germany (reviewed from notes). This brew had a very light, almost washed out, golden color. There was a 3/4 in white head with some lacing. The smell was bland with no attributes jumping out. Taste was similar, but refreshing none the less. That was the last Ayinger I had on my trip.

Yellow greenish. White creamy head, less at the sides, it tends to fall a little.
Not very fresh smell, for a pils. Malt, and the hop is somewhat in the background.
Taste: here we are re-entering in the typical german pils territory: hop, dry grass, hay. It has a quite dry finish.
In the aftertaste a good hop, that lingers for a quite long time. Grassy and dry.
Good drinkability.

I wasn't mind blowing, but German Pilsners are always OK by me. Crisp and clean, slightly sweet, with a slightly bitter finish (relatively dry), not one i'd actively search out, but drinkable.
