Poured into a pint glass on tap. Moderately hazy straw color with a modest white head. Nice grassy aroma with white bread, dough, and lemongrass. Taste was light and crisp, with lemon, white pepper, clove, banana, and floral notes.

 

Beautiful, hazy, pale-yellow body with a great deal of effervescence and thin, white head. Bright, spicy, and yeasty aroma, with grass and lemon notes. Taste is a little less harmonious, with the typical clove, banana, and tart characteristics, but with a slightly harsh bitterness and bold pepperiness dominating the palette mid-taste and beyond. Feel is crisp, medium-bodied, well-carbonated, and smooth. Very nice saison, but wish the flavor profile was a little more fruit and a little less grassy and bitter.

 

 

3/15/16 on tap at 12 South Taproom. Exactly as the brewery describes it. Light and refreshingly fruity dry. This was the perfect day to try this too as the temps here in Nashville rose above 80*F for the first time this Spring. Look is a slightly hazy, pale-golden effervescent beer. Aromatic with fruity character. A slightly spicy, fruity petit saison taste, very welcoming after a warm day, with soft malt and grainy character. Bitterness is moderate. Attenuation is good giving a nice soft dry finish. Mouthfeel is light to medium light with appropriate high carbonation. Overall this is a well balanced saison.
