From the 22oz bottle sent to me by mdfb79
Lost Abbey stemware
Dark reddish-brown auburn body with a quick fleeting khaki foam that wisps across the surface. I get lots of red wine vinegar and balsamic to this with a well balanced malt sweetness comprised of dark fruits - berry/cherry notes. Some oaky tannins. A touch of lemony lacto there. Solid balance between the tart and acidic yeast and malt sweetness.
This was suprisingly nice. A really solid take on a semingly difficult style. Really nice balance to this overall. Would have again.

Pours a dull mahogany with no head, just a tight band around the edges. Nose expresses butterscotch, tannins and lactic notes. Quite tasty - leather, cherries and lactose. Mouthfeel is light in body with a bright carbonation and a slightly harsh acidity. Overall impressions - a young beer, slight astringent, but lots of potential from a new brewer as this is a challenging style to nail. Nice job.
