Appearance: light yellow (not golden) with a slight haze. The head is bright white, composed of superfine white bubbles that fades quickly.
Aroma: extremely hoppy - far more than expected. The hop aroma is akin to Queen Ann's Lace (flower). There is almost an egg custard aroma present - but not unpleasantly so.
Flavor: the flavors in this beer don't cooperate with each other. Initially, the hops border on almost spicy, which quickly gives way to the tartness, which is milt at best. This beer reminds me of a group compromise where no one gets what they wand: the end result is like mixing a bunch of colors - each pretty individually, but when combined makes brown.
Mouthfeel: medium - the abv isn't listed but the weight would indicate something in the 6's or low 7%s.
Overall: meh! The beer has no flaws but the whole picture is just okay. This beer is not a reflection of Black Project's other "hits."
