Pours an unclear yellow with fine, whispy head.

Smell is tart with notes of peach, oak, citrus, youghurt and citrus peel.

Taste is tart with nice acidity. Notes of peach, youghurt, lemon, oak and some citrus peel bitterness. Very well balanced, with a bit of depth.

Mouthfeel is medium with frothy carbonation.

Overall, a very nice, fairly complex sour.

021720, "Funk barrels get money". Very rigid can, started spraying when opened. Hazy yellow, rough unstable white foam. Heavy sour smell, vinegar, some citrus. Taste is puckering sour, with some decent peach beneath it. Way too sour to properly get the full fruity aspect, though. Light, not a lot of lingering. Meh. Points deducted for gushing.

Bought from Tavour.
I am not the right person to write this first review; not being a fan of the Wild styles.
So, perhaps I should start with Untappd's description: "Dry Hopped Sour Ale with Peach" (All true.)
Then, let's add a nice little Haiku by James Howat, the brewer/owner/blender of Black Project.
"Delicious sour
A juicy, fuzzy peach shouts
beyond the dankness"
(Also all true... but a traditional Haiku has 5 syllables on the top line, experiment acceptable)

I will take this opportunity to give a brewer review. Black Project's website is basic; but their purpose is to learn from the lambic and gueuze traditions and experiment with the terroir surrounding Denver. This is a thoughtful approach and this young brewer (and his wife) are developing a following. Good luck to them.
