Cloudy yellow color with a big, white head. Tropical fruits, melon, and bubble gum in the aroma. Juicy, hoppy taste. Moderate hoppy bitterness. Good.

Just like Juice Jr., Ripe is already an excellent NEIPA, but fresh hops will only make it better, right? Indiscernible from regular Ripe right off the bat from appearance, but the nose and palate seem to pop more and make this one special, going from good to very good in my opinion. Ripe fruit flesh, tropical juice, zesty pop, grapefruit and pineapple, orange, sweet and hoppy.

Draught pour at Hop Gardens. Easily the best fresh hop hazy I've had, by a long ways.

10.5oz pour at the Georgetown location. Entering review from notes.
Pours a murky pale yellow, small head. Smell is orange and citrus, juice and fresh hop character.
Taste is bright and citrusy, with a slam of fresh hops on the back end. Really screaming fresh hops all the way through.
Mouthfeel is slightly chalky, nice effervescence. Overall, very good beer. Fresh hops gets louder and louder as you drink it. So good!

More or less tastes like regular Ripe. Hazy color of course with a big grapefruit and tropical fruit aroma, a bit of pineapple sweetness, minimal caramel. Lighter medium body, mild floral bitterness.

Although BA shows this as "Retired", it's probably better shown as "Seasonal", as GN is putting out a version in the fall of 2019.
I'll admit my bias up front: I find most NEIPAs to be overly sweet, not the least bit bitter, and looking like yellowish dishwater. I'm a classic IPA guy.
But, hey, this NEIPA is pretty tasty. It's a fruity citrus bomb, sure, but that's what it should be. It's not too sweet. There's just a little bitterness. It does seem more like a beer than a glass of juice. I liked it quite a bit, and I'd happily have another.
It still looks like dirty dishwater, however.

The easiest way to describe what this tastes like would be to compare it to a screwdriver mixed with high pulp orange juice without any of the grainy / fusel alcohol aftertaste the vodka leaves behind toward the end.
Unsurprisingly an abundance of bright (ripe) oranges, cantaloupe, and lychee jelly comprise the first impressions of this super fresh beer brewed with super fresh hops. The malt, as usual, is nowhere to be found save for a faint hint of cracker crumb / cracked oats on the tip of the nose.
As aforementioned this doesn't drink like beer at all; no palatal element of this brew remotely resembles your stereotypical notion of "beer" at all; this drinks like spiked orange juice from start to finish with little accents of secondary (i.e. "unimportant") flavors in the form of melon, and tropical fruit cocktail. One clear distinction between the regular Ripe and Fresh Hop Ripe seems to be that Ripe had a slight hop burn toward the tail end, where its Fresh Hop counterpart is completely devoid of it -- they do, however, both produce the same intense hoppy burps.
Medium-bodied, creamy, sticky, dry. This is every hophead's wet dream in liquid form. Wish I could hook this up to my kitchen faucet at home and drink / cook everything in it.

On tap at the brewpub last weekend.
The beer pours a hazy, nearly opaque golden amber color with good head retention and lacing. The nose is really the best thing about this beer, as I pick up considerable tropical fruit, underlying dank weed, some water melon and fresh green tobacco leaf. I don't really pick up all that much of the fresh hop character on the palate, though there was still plenty of tropical fruit and citrus. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, with the alcohol well integrated into the flavor profile. Unlike the regular Ripe IPA, this beer actually had some noticeable bitterness on the finish (not a lot, but more than I get with the ripe). Drinkability is very good in this well crafted NE style IPA.
Very nice beer from the folks at GN.

On tap at the brewery, pours like orange juice, pulp free of course, with a thin white frothy head. Bursts of so much citrus goodness in the aroma and flavor, fresh peeled rind, and pine to finish it off. Its decadent smooth and well balanced feel make this too easy to drink. Just another wonderful NEIPA from these guys making me wonder who the real kings of the style are. Cheers!
