Absolutely gorgeous lemon yellow haze (especially to sunlight). Thick foamy head with excellent lacing. Slightly bubbly / not full creamy in head or I’d give it a 4.75 or 5.
Nose is ok but with 71 yo old nose is not the best judge.
Flavor is subdued. Rich with Motueka and reportedly others in hop bill. Enjoyed it but not as stand out as other GN and OH brews.
HST… it was delicious, and perhaps I should acknowledge with a higher rating.
Body was smooth but brisk. Enjoyable but not really noteworthy.
Overall I thought this was a very good brew, which I really enjoyed. It just seemed a bit “lite” for these 2 brewers.
Again HST…maybe it didn’t match my expectations but was still an awesome brew. Know I will go get a 4 pk after this. Big kudos.

Type: 16-oz. can
Reviewed as: New England Double / Imperial IPA
Glass: Pure Project 14-oz. Teku glass
Price: $6.49
From: Windmill Farms in Del Cerro (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: July 11, 2021
Consumed: July 11, 2021
Misc.: Collaboration with Other Half; Canned on May 18, 2021
Grabbed a can of this and some other stuff while looking for some North Park cans at Windmill Farms. Online description for this was “We partnered up with our pals over at Other Half again to bring you this irresistible Double IPA. Brewed with Motueka, Waiti, and Galaxy hops, Dirty Dancing will make you swoon.” Still somewhat new to Waiti but looking forward to this one.
Poured a light golden hazy color with four fingers of rocky-to-frothy white head. Plenty of bubble streams coming up along the sides of the glass. World-class uneven foamy lacing. Very good retention. (Sight - 4.25)
Smelled all three hops right away, in order Motueka, Galaxy and (looking at hop profile) Waiti. Also trash, melon, caramel candy squares, lime, stone fruit, peach and passion fruit. A little better out of the nose. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted about as good as the nose. Got Motueka, Waiti, Galaxy, melon, lime, passion fruit, peach, stone fruit, lemon cookie, caramel candy squares and spoiled trash. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long finish. (Feel - 4.00)
Outstanding overall, but not quite as good as I hoped it would be with these two breweries. (Overall - 4.00)

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours hazy golden yellow amber with a frothy off white head that settles to a firm layer and laces nicely.
S: Tropical and stone fruit leads, backed with ripe citrus, a touch of Southern Hem diesel, a bit grassy, slight earthy herbal notes, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.
T: Tropical and stone fruit, peach, apricot, mango, passion fruit, guava, lychee, and papaya, citrus, lemon, lime, and orange, grassy, underlying earthy herbal notes, a touch of Southern Hem diesel, biscuity malt, caramel sweetness, and a touch of alcohol that can poke through.
M: On the fuller side of medium body, moderate carbonation, creamy soft on the palate.
O: 2024 Update: Solid. Better than the last time I had it, but still not as intense as I was expecting given to he 2 breweries involved.
