Bourbon Barrel Double Stack is our beloved Imperial Breakfast Stout, aged in Woodford Reserve and Willet Bourbon barrels for over 24 months. This blend was then conditioned with single-roast Brasil Nathalia Maria coffee from our friends at Coava Coffee, and maple syrup to create an even more luxurious experience.

Thanks!
Jet black with no head. The nose is pure sweetness with fake maple, Folger's coffee, artificial vanilla and gobs of sweetness. On the palate, this is similar, with just nauseating sweetness that makes my 1.5oz pour a chore. The maple expression is fake, and the coffee doesn't have the depth that most Coava coffee does -this is almost stale and oxidized. Sweet, minimal bitterness, hardly any barrel character. Poor.

As good as b1. Dark and black body. Little carb on draft. Whiskey, earthy and roasty coffee, dark chocolate and cocoa. Mainly chocolate, coffee with a decent barrel. Maple is in the supporting cast. Full body, low carbonation.

500 mL bottle. Black, but not viscous. Smells of maple, bourbon, and coffee. Tastes incredibly sweet. Lots of maple. Coffee. Bourbon behind it. Mixture of maple and bourbon through the back end. Very sweet. Maple dominates everything and makes it undrinkably sweet.

500ml capped/waxed bottle served in a tulip. Don't see a date on it, but pretty sure it's a one time a year brew. Bought it at the brewery when it was released.
Pours black with a tiny head that disappears quickly. Smell is super maple-y, chocolate. Very sweet, some coffee and roasty grains.
Taste is super sweet, super maple syrupy. Heavily sweetened and creamed coffee, milk chocolate or chocolate syrup.
Mouthfeel is thick, sticky, chewy. Overall...very good, but could tone down the sugar and maple a bit.
