Luminous 11 is a Sour Milkshake IPA inspired the Blue Hawaiian cocktail. Tangerine, pineapple, coconut, passion fruit, and vanilla were added to create a sour tropical flavor. We also dry hopped Luminous 11 using Amarillo and Motueka hops. *Contains lactose, coconut, food color.

1 pint can poured into tulip.
I didn't know it was going to be blue. Pours a deep aqua with one finger of light blue head that leaves no lace as it quickly vanishes.
Smells of tart orange, passionfruit, pineapple chunks, sugared pink grapefruit, some creamsicle dairy notes, freshly mopped floor, some bready malt and citrusy, piney hops.
Tastes of more orange creamsicle, honeyed bread, muddled citrus and tropical fruit notes, some candy bar coconut sweetness and soft piney hops.
Feels a bit limp. Skinny medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. Finishes sweet.
Verdict: What the fuck. This seems like something you'd buy at a gas station at four in the morning. Not recommended.

16oz can served in a WABL sample glass. Dated 05/26/22, I think -- it's kind of washed out. Bought it yesterday at Chuck's Hop Shop Seward Park.
The appearance is alarming. It's a brilliant blue or teal or something, with a maybe 1cm blue-tinged head. It's very hazy. I find the color novel, but not attractive. Smell is a light hoppy freshness, a melange of fruits with maybe some vanilla, together giving a slightly minty vibe.
Taste is leaning into the lactose, with fruit juice tartness and a background of floral hops.
Mouthfeel is medium, slightly effervescent. Overall...it's a pretty decent beer, but the appearance is offputting, hokey, and annoyingly gimmicky.
