another completely over the top fruited sour from these guys, this time an imperial one, loaded with strawberry and raspberry, as well as vanilla, decadent and sweet, like melted fruit bar, tasty, but super sugary and limiting in that way more than from the alcohol, which actually is somehow kind of a nonfactor here. nice pretty red color, high saturation, sort of pulpy looking but befitting of the style and better carbonation than expected, excited even, giving rise to nearly an inch of orangey pink stained head, more and more sediment towards the bottom of the pint can, which is a big dose of this, glad to be splitting it with a homie, cool label art as always with great notion. the nose is tart and sweet both, some actual sour beer character cutting through the heavy fruit additions, warm vanilla, very little malt, no hops at all, not not yeasty either, so this is on the edge of fruit smoothie over beer, but its pleasant and summery and again, not showing itself as being this strong. the flavor is like the nose, intense fruit saturation and a little more strawberry than raspberry, natural enough but bold enough in here to probably be puree rather than whole berries, some raspberry tartness evident and its compatible with the moderate sourness of the base beer. vanilla is tastefully done and doesnt dominate thankfully, a common pitfall in this style space, long on the palate and darn near diabetic, like melted red candy on a hot summer sidewalk, but it sure does taste pretty good and the tartness keeps it in check a bit. super big fruit body on this, gets heavy quick, long on the palate, but they hit the flavor and textural notes i was expecting in a shake beer like this, and these guys continue to out execute so many others in these trendy styles. a small doses thing, but well done for what it is...

16oz can pours out a deep-ish red color with pink foamy head that does stick around a bit. Loving the strawberry notes but there is plenty of raspberry there too, as well as creamy notes of vanilla and lactose. Jammy and sweet, with some present tartness without being overwhelmingly sour, this is more of a pastry-sweet sour. Really good in my opinion.

16oz can served in a little sample glass.

Pours a murky purple-pink with a small, uneven ring of head. Smell is strawberry jam and cheesecake, sweet vanilla frosting.

Taste is sweet-tart, again dominated by strawberry jam. Vanilla is definitely there, too.

Mouthfeel is medium, very effervescent. Overall, if you're looking for a slushie sour without the slush, this is it.
