This tart ale is brewed with the finest Oregon grown blueberry, boysenberry, and blackberry. Silence of the Jams is no chianti, but we recommend pairing with your fava beans in any case.

On tap at Great Notion Alberta
A: Pours hazy red/purple magenta with a frothy pale pink head that settles to a thin layer and leaves a little delicate lacing.
S: Ripe berries, pleasantly mild lactic tartness, and just a touch of crackery biscuity malt.
T: Ripe berries, boysenberry and blackberry lead the way with the blueberry adding depth underneath, but they all come through in their own way, pleasant lactic tartness, and a little crackery biscuity malt.
M: Medium body, slightly prickly moderate carbonation, yet still soft and almost creamy/chewy.
O: This one was calling my name from the tap list so loudly I couldn't ignore it. Between the name and the berries, I had to try it, and I regret nothing. Some of GN's berry beers are more jammy sweet, this one comes off ripe and fresh with just the right amount of tartness, just like a throwing a handful of berries in your mouth. Not overly complex with lots of adjuncts, because it doesn't need to be, it nails what it is and let's the fruit shine.
