This is a classic lager from Suarez that it's so perfect it makes you wonder. Wonderfully grassy, bready, floral and effervescent. Not a ton of bitterness but it doesn't need it as it offers you the kind of flavor that doesn't need bitterness support.

 

Appearance: Pours a clear golden color with a two finger head; decent retention with a shard or two

Smell: Biscuity malt with an herbaceous lemon tone

Taste: Biscuit flavors form a base with herbaceous lemon build up; bright, with a somewhat juicy bitterness in the finish

Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with moderate to high carbonation

Overall: A delightful beer that is well-balanced with a beguiling malt sweetness

beautiful looking beer, that pillowy bright white head with sudsy bubbles atop is just so enticing, clear golden tinged straw color. aroma is sweet bready and caramel malts, light herbaceous and grassy green hop character. palate follows with a robust malt sweetness, hinting at honey and caramel, toasted grains throughout, lemon peel, grassy, grapefruit pith, mellow bitterness, floral spice, green herbal quality.

quite a soft and fluffy mouthfeel, light bodied with a nice crispness on the finish. impressive feel for such a low abv brew.

 

 

 

another relatively simple and basic beer from these guys that both gets full marks for quality overall, but also leaves a little to be desired between the hype ive heard about their beer and the creativity and uniqueness i expect from such a talked about operation. its an unfiltered lager, with its point of differentiation being that its a bit more hoppy than most, in this case with some bitterness and fruitiness from the simcoe its made with, an unconventional hop for this style, but overall the beer fits what anyone should expect from a beer like this, crisp and dry and with a fresh and flavorful grain complexion, pale two row barley and maybe a pinch of a lighter crystal malt, basic but dialed in, overly well refined, carbonated brightly, and with the fast finish of an old world lager style. the hops do make it quite modern, but the unfiltered part is pretty mild, there isnt a whole lot left here even without filtration, maybe a little overly clean up for the style, but the texture is on point, and drinkability is through the roof. this one may need some context, like a juicy burger or a bowl of hot wings, but on its own is fine too, if a little bit uninteresting. i like the hoppiness and the high quality and attention to detail are evident. cool beer, but i am still waiting for a suarez beer to blow my mind...

Pours a clear burnt orange with over 2 fingers of fluffy white head; impressive retention with plenty of sticky, soapy lacing maintaining around the glass and a firm, thick layer of froth capping the surface

Aromas of faint raw grains, light earthy and herbal hop notes, and an excellent florality on the finish, introducing what remind of fresh garden notes to the bouquet.

Taste brings pure grain, herbal hops, flower petals, tree bark, earthy root, and deep, dense, raw hops with a tinge of malt for balance; only gets better through the finish as it continues to embrace a raw, slightly spice, and semi-bitter earthiness.

Mouthfeel is a brilliant balance of lighter body and medium carbonation; thicker, grainy grit comes across the palate and adds a lively character that also enhances elements of the flavor profile to top-tier levels.

Pure lager elements build up to a dense profile of expressive grain and herbal hops, bringing a subtle 'wow' factor to this one. It flows together as both clean and gritty, never abandoning its core character and remaining consistently dynamic and easy.

 

On tap at the brewery. Lightly hazy and more orange than golden. Smells of citrus hops, a little pine, and some faintly sweet malt. Tastes orange and grapefruit hops up front with a soft doughy and slightly sweet malt profile. Back end has a spicy hop bitterness. Light body. Excellent.
