Pour a very dark brown with virtually no head. Cinnamon, maple syrup & roasted grain make up its aroma. Very sweet. Flavors: cinnamon first then maple syrup, vanilla, cream, brown sugar, sweet roasted malt & maple syrup again. Feel: nice & thick but lacking carbonation. Overall: not quite perfect but my favorite way to enjoy French Toast.

16oz can picked up at John's Market (eastside location) in Portland, OR; first from Hubbard's Cave
Poured into a La Fin du Monde tulip
P menacing black color w/ a small tan cap; nearly instant recession to a ring
N bold captivating aroma of cinnamon french toast; literally making my mouth water
T follows nose, sweet, rich cinnamon french toast throughout, just as advertised; bready malt, maple, vanilla; tasty for sure
Mf right on par for the pastry stout style; med-full bodied w/ soft-med carb; slick, yet chewy
O one well-executed imperial stout; a rich sipper; very enjoyable!

Rich dark liquid but short on the head. Maple and vanilla are the dominant notes with cinnamon trailing. Slight amount or sourness like that of sour dough bread. Must be the power of suggestion. LOL
12.0% ABV always feels good.
Hubbard's Cave steadily knocks it out of the park and this one is no exception.

My dealer has Hubbard's Cave products regularly, but I don't always pick them up. This one was a decent find.
It pours nearly black with moderate fizz. The aroma is a mix of malts wafted by nice booziness. There is a lot going on in this brew. Tons of malts are left in the flavor, but there are also hops in there trying to get out. It's a great experience - exactly what I wanted this morning.
Recommended. This is a huge stout that delivers. It is a bit pricey, but what the hey.

L: Dark brown pour with minimal lacing
S: French toast, malts, molasses, brown sugar, chocolate, cinnamon, maple syrup, vanilla
T: Sweet maple infused with chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon, slight brown sugar taste.
F: medium to full bodied, not to oily/ thick. Easy to drink. Drinks as a 8-10%.
O: Very good stout. I’ve always heard good things about Hubbards and wanted to give this a shot. Would recommend to try.

can into glass
Quite moderate, medium brown head, that quickly recedes and is fine and creamy. Completely opaque, nearly black look. Sweet, maple syrup and cinnamon, on a base of rounded, very dark roasted grains, for the aroma. Flavor starts off like a thick Dr. Pepper, then turns into a sweet, soft edged, very dark roasted grain flavor.
