16 oz. Can
B3 2021
Poured into a Tree House glass a very nice dark brown/black color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy/quick/fizzy one-finger plus dark tan head, which also leaves some nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is malty, with a pretty nice chocolate/toffee/coffee, vanilla, slight licorice. The taste is pretty nice, malty, with a pretty nice touch of chocolate/toffee/coffee, with some nice vanilla sweetness, some sour/tart, licorice. Medium Body, ABV is hidden very nicely with a nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a tasty beer.

16 ounce can, no dating that I noticed. Another big thanks to Brutaltruth for this brew! Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch or so tan head that stuck around a while. Good amount of lacing. Aroma is sweet, the brew smells like chocolate, vanilla, cream and coffee. I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some bittersweet chocolate and burnt/charred malt flavors. Not as sweet tasting as it smells. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's slick and a bit creamy with a low/moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this stout, certainly worth trying if you've never tried it before!

From the 16oz can in a pint glass. This solid little stout pours a
dark black with a light head of tan foam that sizzles to a thin ring
and spotty lacing. Nose of dark roasted coffee, char, cream, and
dark bakers cocoa which is all somewhat muted for as dark a brew
as this is. Flavors pack the punch with dark bakers chocolate,
cream, deep char, deep roasted coffee, earthy malts, and
vanilla. Nice mouth feel; full body, smooth, lightly slick, very
coating, rich, light carbonation, and finishing with a bitter malt
note full of coffee and cocoa.
Overall, a solid little brew
Cheers

Pours opaque, jet black in color with one third inch head. Taste is coffee grounds, dark chocolate, vanilla wafer..almost like tiramisu but with a bit more coffee taste. Heavy body, slightly sweet, with moderate carbonation. Nice that they have put in all this flavor and not imperialized it. Makes for a very flavorful stout that I would gladly pick up again.

Look: Pitch black. Half a finger of fizzy tan head with decent retention.
Smell: Strong roast coffee and milk chocolate.
Taste: Metallic roast coffee and sweet milk chocolate, followed by roast malt bitterness that lingers heavily and detracts from the other flavors.
Mouthfeel: Average body, with mild carbonation.
Overall: While Hubbard's Cave has put out some fantastic brews, this one isn't in that group.

The aroma is wonderful, but a touch metallic. Tons of coffee, along with chocolate, molasses, toast, toffee, brown sugar, dates, and plums.
Similar on the palate. Many beers like this are very sweet and rich, but this is much thinner and more bitter - very drinkable. Tons of coffee and butter chocolate.
