A rustic, vibrant American Lager. Simple and timeless with a slightly different hop profile, still just using Saaz.

Pour is clean, clear; produces a fluffy head which quickly fades away. Aroma is lager-like: light nose of yeast plus some floral background. Taste is per the label - a basic lager with hop bitterness and a touch of sweetness from the malt. Taste lingers a while. Refreshing.

Clear, light golden body; moderate carbonation; one-finger thick head, white, a bit creamy in texture. Solid, pleasant aroma; somewhat grassy and floral in character; slight malty background. Well-rounded flavor; light malt; moderate hop bitterness and taste; mild spiciness. Medium body; slightly juicy finishing with a respectable dryness.
A pleasant, unassuming American pilsner bringing a nuanced balance and complexity to the palate.

Pours a nearly clear straw color with a beautiful, creamy white head that surprisingly leaves very little lacing. The nose has a bit of lemon and some grain (corn?), and a bit of bread.
The lemon is more prominent on the taste, and works well with the bread flavor and the sweetness from the grain. Nice crispy mouthfeel on this perfectly quaffable American lager.

Pours a clear golden yellow with modest foam in the tall Belle-Vue glass. Tastes of malt and corn. Very lightly hopped, with just a hint of something resiny in the aftertaste. Not any actual bitterness. Quite quaffable, with more flavor than many Lagers, but not what you'd call crisp. More like a Blonde ale to me. From the 16 oz can; not dated.

Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. No date on the can.
Appearance: light golden hue with a dash of haze and a thin finger of frothy white foam. A little more head would be nice, but it's not bad for the style.
Smell: sweetish malt with a bit of corn character and an after-smell with a bit of sourness. It's ... not as clean as I want it to be.
Taste: flavor is a lot cleaner than the aroma; there's a nicely characterful malt flavor here with a moderate but balanced bitterness at the end. A nice lager.
Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a big carbonation and a surprisingly big creaminess for the style. I really rather like it.
Overall: this is definitely a nicely drinkable beer, if not a super complex one. There are a few rough edges that could be cleaned up a little, but overall quite quaffable.

A: The beer is hazy yellow in color. It poured with a finger high frothy bright white head that died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of pale and bready malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of pale/bready malts along with hints of grassy hops and a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and clean on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This lager isn't overly aromatic or flavorful, but is honest and drinks very easily.

Lightly foggy, yet clear enough that tons of the tiniest bubbles I may have ever seen in a brew are visibly disbursed in a uniquely ubiquitous way, lifting up to the surface a persistently super fine but dense creamy blanket that retains well after the moderate head dies, leaving ridged lacing.
Taste is white grape--complete with bitter skin tannins--paired with grassy, herbal hops and a light touch of toasted malt that's sort of like a faint note of cracked wheat.
The roundly medium body has a lightly fluffy carbonation that comes to a paper dry finish.

Pours medium straw yellow with a brief two-inch head that fizzles out leaving no lacing. Not quite opaque, but this thing is rather hazy. Nose isn't aggressive - mainly rising bread, touch of sweetness, and some moderate tinny notes as well. Taste is again moderate and balanced - essentially follows the nose, but not getting those metallic notes, so that's nice. Mouthfeel really shines through - very refreshing. More lagers are always welcome, cheers to not overdoing things flavor-wise.

A functional lager. Does its job: refreshes.
Greeted by a generous foam, it is easy to forgive Plainsman for not having the style's typical clarity. I also give extra points for the Plainsman's contemplative art on the can, also refreshing from some micros' wild stuff. Smells mostly of malt with the hops wafting in at the end. Tastes operate largely the same; balanced, but not distinguished. Bubbly and cleanses my mouth.
Bought from Tavour, Structures does not distribute outside of Washington. I went on their website and it was undeveloped for a five year old brewery. Granted that brewers will have it tough this whole year, but if the website had been developed when it should have been early on in the business... then Structures' persona might help it through this rough stretch.

Mostly clear goldenrod with a big foamy white head. Smell is simple and pure: biscuit, general grains, and a kiss of a dull pale hop. Taste follows, very light and unassuming, even for style. Feel is light, bright, somewhat pale, never gets to watery but it is on the way. Better american lagers out there, but this would be good for a hot day
