Pushing the Hill series further than we ever have before, a mouthful of a beer name - IMPERIAL DOUBLE FRUITED VANILLA BLACK CURRANT BOYSENBERRY HILL, is just as the name implies - a beast! This 7.3% abv Imperial Vanilla lactose sour ale was aged on twice the amount of black currant and boysenberry purée as we’ve done in past iterations. Jammy fruitiness for days!

Tasted in a Rastal Teku from a one pint can on March 7, 2021. Look is dark red with a thin bubbly head. Smell is berries with a hint of vanilla. Taste is tart berries and some vanilla sweetness. Feel is on the lighter side of medium bodied.

Perhaps the most "smoothie" beer (or "beer") I've ever experienced. If you blindly gave this to 100 random people with no context absolutely none of them would identify it as a beer. But it's quite interesting and very tasty!
Dark, purple, berry smoothie body with some light pink foam and minimal lacing. Full haze, almost turbid, adding to the smoothie persona.
In keeping with description and appearance, smells like berry cobbler. Blackberries, boysenberries, raspberries, vanilla ice cream, and some residual sugar on the nose. A nice touch of tart, funkiness, as well.
Plenty of tartness comes through on the tongue, but I get zero sour notes. Add sweet berries, a noticeable (but pleasant and vanilla-esque) lactose element, and some grassy notes. Berry smoothie all the way.
Soft, supple, creamy, and velvety feel. Absolutely zero notice of booze.
