Collaboration with Tioga-Sequoia.
Hoppy Lager with Riwaka, Citra, & Centennial Cryo Hops
This hoppy lager collaboration with Tioga-Sequoia was brewed for Joshua Tree Facelift, the first-ever Yosemite Climbing Association and Friends of Joshua Tree cleanup event in Joshua Tree National Park. It is a refreshing and balanced accompaniment to days spent enjoying nature. Featuring Riwaka, Citra, and Centennial Cryo hops, this medium-bodied brew delivers bright aromas of clementine, pineapple, and pine to the nose, and flavors of lemon bar, kiwi, and resin to the palate. Our hope is that Joshua Tree Facelift’s crisp, clean taste reminds us of the importance of keeping our beautiful planet clean, and encourages the pickup of litter in our national parks, natural areas, and beyond!

Sonny picked up a 4-pack of this and another Pure Project beer. Pure’s website description for this one was “This hoppy lager collaboration with Tioga-Sequoia was brewed for Joshua Tree Facelift, the first-ever Yosemite Climbing Association and Friends of Joshua Tree cleanup event in Joshua Tree National Park. Poured a pale yellow clear color with two fingers of white frothy head. Could see a few bubble streams coming up along the sides and bottom of the glass at different speeds. Almost perfect foamy lacing. World-class foamy retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled Riwaka, grape, resin, floral, pine, Citra, lemon, Centennial, lime, kiwi, peach skin, white wine and wet grass. Better out of the can. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted similar to the nose. In order got Riwaka, dank resin, pine, floral, earthy pilsner malt, Citra, lemon, Centennial, lime, kiwi, peach skin, white wine, wet grass and lingering peppery spice. (Taste - 4.00)
Light-to-medium body. Oily texture. Lively carbonation. Abrupt, skunky finish. (Feel - 4.25)
This was solid. Grew on me as it went down. I underrated this slightly. (Overall - 4.25)
