Thanks to hop hound for this one.
Pours an effervescent straw hue, a loose fluffy white cap struts to the rime and slowly recedes to a thin film.
Nose is a smooth, lightly acidic delivery of a melange of funk, galaxy hops, and barrel wood, light wood.
Flavor really makes me accept the idea of hopping up this type of ale. The interplay between the subtle acidity, wood and dry peach, citrus zest and musty funk makes for a nice complex play.
Mouthfeel is slick, active, and the wood notes combined with the hops give a slight, dry finish.
Overall, there is a lot going on here for the diehard Saison/Farmhouse fan, but also for those who are a little resistant to this style but willing to give it a try.
