Reviewing the 2023 release. The addition of Spirulina has turned this into a blue-bodied beer. Very unique.
L: A very striking blue coloration in the body and head. Ample carbonation.
S: Orange zest and bready notes. Earthy.
T: Best I can describe it as is chaotic. You get the orange zest but it clashes with the other flavors. There is some hop character in their from the hallertau, but overall the taste is very unbalanced.
F: Medium mouthfeel and finishes super dry. Unpleasantly dry.
Overall, this is a novelty beer. It catches the eye with how it pours and how beautiful it looks as it sits in your glass, but it's not something I will be going back to purchase if I want to actually enjoy drinking.
