Full of Nelson and Motueka hops, our unfiltered hoppy pilsner is brimming with aromas of guava, lime and passion fruit. It's bright, crisp and hoppy. A quintessential San Diego crusher.

Warm and aromatic. Sweet, even, but so fruity and juicy all is forgiven. The hops really are good in this stuff. I find this really delightful and avoids the over-bitter aftertaste in the typical interpretation. Tangy and well balanced. Sweet peach and tart apricot flavors with a lush and sudsy mouthfeel. From the 16 oz can purchased at Barons Market. Named for the downtown SD landmark.

Spent way too much at Windmill Farms and then at North Park Beer Company, but happy with my selections. Back of the can read, “Full of Nelson and Motueka hops, our unfiltered hoppy pilsner is brimming with aromas of guava, lime and passion fruit. It's bright, crisp and hoppy. A quintessential San Diego crusher.” A hoppy pilsner? Sounds right up my alley.

Poured a medium yellow clear color with 2-to-3 fingers of rocky-to-frothy off-white head. Lots of fast-moving bubbles coming up from the bottom and along the sides of the glass. World-class foamy lacing. World-class retention. (Sight - 4.75)

Smelled a nice mix of Nelson and Motueka from the get-go. Also the mentioned guava and passion fruit, mango rind, white grape, viney berry, earthy pilsner malt, dry white bread, cracker and metallic notes. Mostly the same from the can with Nelson and guava leading the way. (Smell - 4.00)

Tasted slightly better than the nose. Got a nice mix once again of the mentioned Nelson and Motueka. Also lemon-lime zest, pine, guava, mango rind, passion fruit, white grape, viney berry, dry white bread, sweet grain and earthy pilsner malt. (Taste - 4.00)

Medium body. Oily texture. Lively carbonation. Abrupt, dry, clean finish. (Feel - 4.25)

This was an outstanding pilsner overall. Can’t wait to have again. (Overall - 4.00)
