Truth in advertising. Tart, lime, cucumber, salt. I get them all in El Tub.
But to me, saisons are a table ale and should, at least, pretend to play nice with food. If the ale is too intentionally tart, it shows bad manners with the food. El Tub's tartness makes it close to having bad manners. I might have El Tub again with summer fare, but not at any other table.
I like Whiner. I've now had 10 of their ales. They are Chicago's Southside Belgian-inspired brewer. But, why so tart ? After all is said, we Northsiders are sweet by comparison.

Pale cloudy yellow. White head fizzles to a thin ring.
Lightly tart sense on the nose. Tart and sweet, cucumber most prominent. Most saisonlike on the finish.
Great soft mouth. Thick with a light carbonation.
Not too different from a "fixed" beer. Tart and enjoyable.

Bright gold, a finger or two of loose foam that fades in 2 minutes.
Lime aroma with some salinity and lacto acidity.
Light fruity sweetness, earthy cucumber and tart lime. Crisp lacto tartness.
Light bodied, soft carbonation that ebbs over time.
Extremely refreshing and drinkable, classic flavors blend well.
