Because of its name, Hop Tub could be styled as a Belgian IPA. But the Nelson Sauvin hops delicately play with the sweet malts, so this seems like a farmhouse... and I'd like to taste it again. (I only bought one copy from Beermiscuous.) However, I say up-front that the one Whiner farmhouse I absolutely want to taste again is Rubri-que-brac. Please bring it back.
Hop Tub Looks average. It breaks beyond with its Smells, which are an intriguing citrus blossom. Tastes play a nice interplay, but not exactly a melody between the hops and malts. I could get a more bubbly mouth. But all said, I give Whiner better Overall Hugs because they are Belgian-inspired (which I like much); but also because I have been hard on them for some of my 11 reviews because of my perceived Brett dependency. Fortunately, Hop Tub does not have that dependency. A Votre Sante' !
