16 oz can acquired from brewery.
Can date of 12/18/20 which is super gay because I figured they'd have fresher cans on their floor...
Parish Teku.
Has a ridiculous amount of head, 3 fingers and doesn't recede for awhile. Definitely overcarbed. Spots of fluff on the sides of the glass. Hazy yellow, boring, nothing new here.
Aroma of straw and wheat cracker with a little bit of clove and a touch of oily coffee bean. Quite a bit of fruity notes and fruity esters as well. Banana, cream, some fruity coffee.
Flavor is hay, banana, clove, straw, and slight coffee. The coffee has faded significantly on this. The brewery pour I had punched me in the face with coffee, but this can is flubbing along like a flat tire in that regard. Still a tasty profile, but it's weak on the coffee which I suppose at 4 friggen months is not out of the ordinary.
Feel is creamy and smooth with a bit of busy carbonation. Slight dryness from the coffee. No alcohol. Enjoyable.
Overall, tasty, and develops a bit as it warms a couple degrees. No doubt about it a quality Saison, but I'm sort of miffed that the coffee is not as strong as my brewery pour. If you are visiting Urban South, due to their pussy Covid bullshit, you will not be able to check dates on cans. You will simply get what they give you. Par for the course in a tail-between-their-legs scared and government dependent area like New Orleans. I was not impressed with my Urban South/NOLA experience overall. That's where "dirty south" came from. Everyone wants to be Master P.
Despite all of that, this is a solid beer.
