Hazy, super-hopped NE-style IPAs crushed my palate long ago. I can't hang with the style; for some reason everything tastes acidic and overly pungent. I'm sure Foam is pumping out great examples of this style that are hopped like a mofo, but I reached for Lupi Fresh because the description and reviews made it sound like an excellent beer that falls somewhere on the spectrum between piney/bitter and fruit-forward-uber-hopped.
Growler capped on 8/4 gifted from a friend, consumed on 8/9. Aroma is special - orange, nectarine, tangerine, grapefruit, pine and peach. Citrus blast follows the opening of the flip-top. Not overly acidic, pungent or sweet. No trace of malt.
Looks great as well - burnt orange hue, cloudy not hazy, far from turbid, white cap of foam that lingers for a minute.
Taste is a mix of freshly cut citrus, green pine and crackery malt. Really nice structure keeps the beer intact but doesn't alter the imbalanced hop-forward profile. Peach, pine, pith, tangerine.
Smooth and soft on the palate with moderate bitterness that, again, keeps the beer intact. Great IPA.

On tap at the brewery. This was poured into a tulip. The appearance was a glossy burnt orange color with a bar pour’s kind of slim white head that dissipated at a nice pace. Light lacing. The aroma had bitter orange peel up front, sweet pulpy juice. Citrus hops play with a slight biscuity underneath. The flavor takes in all of the previously mentioned aromas nicely and allows them to blend nicely on into the aftertaste and finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Carbonation seems good for what it is. Overall, I say this was a really nice AIPA that I would have again.
