On tap at the brewery, this was poured into a flared tulip. The appearance was a ruddy burnt orange color with a quickly dissipating finger’s worth of white foamy head that left some lacing here and there. The aroma had a beautiful arrangement of the chamomile floral sweetness to a light herbal quality. Some mint, along with a touch of honey and then some citrus. Very nicely done. The flavor blends the herbal/floral sweetness to the citrus, and honey. Mint seems to dissipate far underneath, barely there in the taste. Light breadiness with a clean semi-sweet aftertaste and a quick finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Light carbonation. Mild malty smoothness along my tongue. Overall, I can see it as a super relaxing saison which is what I guess is what a "biere de miel" is supposed to be. Honestly, in my research, "biere de miels" are after dinner saisons brewed to be not a dessert beer but just something to relax to. And Foam Brewers did a great job of doing that.
