Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a thin copper to orange color with a small white foamy head. Took its time to dissipated and left some lace sliding with the sips.
The aroma had some sweet to tart lemon juice and rind balancing with some spicy ginger and for the most part does blend mildly. Some grassy notes further underneath.
The flavor sings with the lemon juicy sweetness. The lemon rind seems scaled back more in this department. Ginger throws it's spicy tone in for some depth. Mild aftertaste of lemon and ginger.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Decent carbonation and a nice finish of lemon juiciness, barely any ginger.
Overall, extremely odd American wild ale but hey I must admit - it works.
