The appearance was a semi-murky chill hazed purple color with a sheet of white foamy head. Good dissipation, some lace.
The aroma had some semi-sweet to tart black currants with some sweet lactose/creaminess. Light sour to subtle funky character with some grassiness and lemon.
The flavor leads with a blend of tart and sweet black currants qualities. Some aftertaste of black currants, lemon and sour to tart and funky portions.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Mostly low carbonation and well balanced finish of black currants sweetness yet tart and sour, delicate vanilla creaminess.
Overall, pretty nicely done fruited sour ale. I'd have again.
