A collaboration between Dovetail Brewery and Revolution Brewing.
Dovetail brought the decoctions and Rev brought the hops, natch. This triple-decocted and open-fermented pale lager is hopped with hops still so new they’re numbered and not named. That’s weird for us at Dovetail.

I had this on draft 6/15/23 @ Revolution's Taproom.
Cloudy dull orange appearance.
Nice white head; a thick curtain of tree-rung lace remained.
Lemon peel, lemongrass & dandelion notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Lemon peel, dandelion & cracked wheat flavors.
Rustic, hoppy & enjoyable. I'd have another!

Had a small glass of this at the Revolution on Kedzie. Entering review from notes.
Looks clear, brassy, with a small head. A little visible carbonation. Smell is grainy, grassy, a little bread yeastiness.
Taste is strong hoppiness, resinous, lemon rind and grass, bread character is there in the back seat.
Mouthfeel is super dry and clean. Overall, a lovely beer.

Pours a cloudy but not quite fully opaque orange-golden color. Thick, frothy white head forms on the beer, lingers for a moment then dissipates. Just a thin layer of foam remains on the beer.
Aroma has doughy malts, some woody notes, a touch of orange marmalade and bitter orange peel. Some grassy notes come through as well.
Taste follows the nose with some doughy malts providing the backbone on which the hops really do take the prominent role. The hops provide notes of grass, orange marmalade, some herbal or vegetal green notes and lemon. Moderate bitterness on the finish.
Feel is medium to fuller bodied for an IPL. Mild carbonation.
Overall it’s a nice IPL, I enjoyed it quite a bit.
