Collaboration with Alvarado Street Brewery
Our first anniversary collaboration with Alvarado Street Brewing has became a fan favorite so with their permission we will continue to brew this amazing beer. Hopped with Mosaic and Citra, this beer is bursting with big citrus flavor and a touch of melon. It's one juicy double.

Had Electric Lettuce poured from pint can, no apparent date, imported from Cali. by little bro', into nonic pint.
Pours medium hazy and bright gold, with 1-finger, creamy near-white head, with excellent retention, leaving chunky rings of lace down the glass. Aromas of sweet melon, mild pilsner malt and lime off pour, with hints of orange and pine, and as warms earth, bright blueberry and mild pineapple aromas take over, and continue. On tasting, begins sweet orange and big, biting lime, with pineapple beneath, then a little resinous pine joins, over a moderate barley-flavored malt backbone, with blueberries making a bright, brief appearance, before the citrus and pine return for a bitter and clean (but too dry) finish.
A trip up California's Central Valley and Sierra foothills disguised as a beer, hitting up all the fruit orchards, vegetable patches and outlying groves of big trees along the way, skipping only the nut orchards.

16oz can from Tavour. Hazy golden pour, thin cap of fine white head. Zesty aroma, citrus peel. Taste is citrusy, grapefruit, tangerine, zesty. Juicy but on the zesty side. Really puts a squeeze on the palate.

Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. Canned 1/17/24.
Appearance: pale golden hue with a thorough haze and a thick finger of frothy ivory foam atop. Looks good!
Smell: tropical/citrus aroma with passionfruit and orange to the fore. Relatively sweet and quite juicy … my jam!
Taste: malt is rather sweet, but there’s a lot of hoppiness to compensate for it. I get a bit more orange or grapefruit zest than in the aroma, and some of the passionfruit is there but it’s pared back a bit. A solid hazy IPA IMO.
Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: I’m enjoying this a lot; it’s got some heat to it, in the form of both alcohol and zesty bitterness, but that counteracts the sweetness nicely. Quite good.

Pours a hazy amber with plenty of foam in the PIraat tulip. Aroma of peach and grapefruit. Quite sweet and hot with alcohol. The flavor is orange peel and plenty of it. A typical hazy IPA for the massive citrus attack. Murky taste but not overly acidic. Overall, it's sippable and better than average NEIPA. From the 16 oz can purchased at O'Shea's Brewing. Dated 11/30/23 and stamped "Drink Positive."

Type: 16-oz. can
Reviewed as: New England Double / Imperial IPA
Glass: Pure Project 14-oz. snifter elemental (air) glass
Price: $6.29 (10 pct. of. $6.99)
From: San Diego Wine & Beer Co.
Purchased: Feb. 15, 2022
Consumed: Feb. 26, 2022
Misc.: Collaboration with Alvarado Street; Canned on Feb. 3, 2022
Stopped at San Diego Wine & Beer Company on the way home from a work function. Intended to pick up six cans to get the 10 pct. off but almost $60 later I came away with eight cans. Untappd description was “Hopped with Mosaic and Citra. Our collab with Alvarado Street Brewing has became a fan favorite so with their permission we will continue to brew this amazing beer. This beer is bursting with big citrus flavor and a touch of melon. It's one juicy double.”
Poured a bright golden hazy color with 2-to-3 fingers of frothy white head. Could see lots of fast-moving bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. Almost perfect layered foamy lacing. World-class foamy retention. (Sight - 4.75)
The Citra jumped out on the nose. Also overripe grapefruit, melon, grass, Mosaic, floral, hints of bubblegum, pineapple and passion fruit. Decent from the can. (Smell - 4.00)
Taste wasn’t quite as good as the nose. Seemed a bit old but couldn’t be with the Feb. 3 canned on date. In order got Citra, grapefruit, overripe melon, grass, Mosaic, floral, hints of bubblegum, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya and orange creamsicle. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt, semi-juicy finish. (Feel - 4.25)
This was outstanding overall, but nowhere as good as I thought it was going to be considering it was a collab with Moonraker and Alvarado Street. (Overall - 4.00)

Top tier NEIPA. Plenty of sweet citrus and tropical fruit flavor and minimal hop burn or bitterness. Overall, excellent.

Canned on 4/27/22; consumed on 5/26/22
Pours an opaque, puréed mango hue topped with two fingers of dense, fluffy, slightly off-white foam; good head retention yields a half-finger of frothy cap, a moderate, sudsy collar, and myriad webby/spotty lacing draping down the walls of the glass.
Aroma is dominated with taut, mineralic citrus; pulpy tangerine, clementine, and passionfruit blend to subtle grapefruit over the middle and hints of boggy orange near the close.
Taste opens to tangerine and clementine, with a light passionfruit twang into earthier red grapefruit rind over the mid-palate; overripe mandarin on the back end sees shreds of white grape distant through the finish with a slightly boggy, mineralic lingering.
Mouthfeel brings a medium-full body along with a moderate fluff of carbonation; taut, quasi-hard textures sport an otherwise juicy undertone over the mid-palate as a frothy grit is cut with a burgeoning twang and vague bitterness on the back end.
A mushy amalgam of expressive citrus, the somewhat imbalanced yeast and blunter minerality coursing throughout suggests an unfinished work; drinkable, generally pleasant, yet largely nondescript.
