A true English "session" beer. This beer is low in alcohol, light bodied, dry, and refreshing. You'll find traces of fresh baked bread and dark chocolate in the aroma. The flavor profile is of crackers, roast, and light toffee.

Very large sudsy head. Dark brown body. Aroma is of light caramel. Flavor has some roastiness with a touch ashy, with a bitter finish. Something isn’t quite dialed in with this beer for an English Mild. Probably need to re-tweak a few things and try again. It’s close but needs a few adjustments to bring out the sweet brown toffee/caramel a touch more.

Bought from H Street's Craft Beer Cellar DC near Union Station.
I've "reported" a minor point... that Mini Pants should be styled as an English Mild Dark.
Nicely mild and malty, an Englishman should not be disappointed to find this in a pub by its Looks, Smells or Tastes. The major difference that Mini Pants does not achieve is that it is not buttery like the Brits. Mini is bubbly, also not like the Brits.
As for my mini-review of Cushwa... this is a nice mild for a seven year brewer of mostly hoppy ales. I also like how Cushwa caters to a small tourism crowd. (The C&O Canal does not seem like a big draw). But, Cushwa makes the most of it by being proud of their food also. I won't get up the Canal, but I will drink their brews again.
