Nanofluid is a 3.5% lager, dry-hopped with Citra and Motueka. For the first time ever, we went with a step mash on a lager, and are excited for how this turned out. The beer pours with a brilliant clarity and has a crisp citrus flavor profile thanks to the dry hop. This is one of our favorite collaborative efforts to date, and glad to have pulled it off with Dancing Gnome, a brewery we’ve respected and admired for years.

On tap at brewery:
This one is a mix of familiar and odd. Near crystal clear yellow gold with a modest white head on my pour, some lacing graces the top of the glass.
Nose has a mix of grain, bread, dry grass, and a hint of the Montueka. The taste starts out with bread and grain (familiar in Pilsner-based lagers, but then get a spot of citrus rind (tangerine/orange) before the grass and dry, unsweetened coconut comes in.
I like Montueka, so this worked for me, though I’d bet others may find it out of sorts or perfumy in this beer. The light ABV helps the beer be easy on the palate, but avoids feeling watery or too light to me.
