For our latest dry-hopped Contemporary American Pilsner, we decided to hitcha with some Citra! A lean and mean body brought to you by not 1, not 2, but 3 Pilsner malts and some crispy Torrefied Flaked Maize moves like a butterfly and stings strong with a fresh jab of Citra hops! Punchy aromas of fresh resinous pine, zested lemons, and juicy mangoes deliver a solid right hook straight to your nose!

1/9/2023 Batch! Sweet honey-lemon bread malty, lemon biscuity, and zesty orange citrus nose on this one! Taste follows with those light bready malts upfront...and then a clean and crisp, lemony-orange citrus bitter finish. This is tasty and refreshing! I guess personally, I would prefer my hoppy pils to have some version of Mosaic and/or Nelson added to it. It seems as though those hop profiles work together better and are more in balance with bready/malty characteristics of a good pils than Citra IMO.

i read Raul Mondesi's review and i agree it's not her even in overalls... but it's a different beast than that... it's.... different. it's more like that lonely chick at the end of the bar that you just cant decide on, ya know? but it's sweet. and North Park is doing pretty excellent things with beer... but i cant decide if it's cat piss, or hop candy, ya know? interesting what others think as more taste it...

Grabbed a mixed 6-pack of North Park along with two others after making a trade at Pure Project. North Park’s website called it “For our latest dry-hopped Contemporary American Pilsner, we decided to hitcha with some Citra! A lean and mean body brought to you by not 1, not 2, but 3 Pilsner malts and some crispy Torrefied Flaked Maize moves like a butterfly and stings strong with a fresh jab of Citra hops! Poured a clear straw color with two fingers of frothy off-white head, dissipating quickly. Plenty of bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Bad watery lacing. Below average retention. (Sight - 3.25)

Smelled Citra, grapefruit, lemon zest, pine, lime, soap and mango. From the can got Citra, lemon-lime soda (like a Sprite), hints of coconut and a little bit of pilsner malt. (Smell - 4.25)

Taste followed the nose for the most part. Got Citra, lemon zest, lime, Sprite soda, grapefruit, pine, soap, mango, grass, some peppery spice and hints of earthy pilsner malt. (Taste - 4.25)

Light body. Thin-to-oily texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt, citrusy finish. (Feel - 4.00)

Just an excellent pilsner. Easily drinkable and flavorful. (Overall - 4.25)

Pours a pale, clear golden color. 2 finger white head. Retention is good. No lacing on the glass.
The nose has a really good citrus aroma. Pineapple is what I mostly get, and there's a decent amount of it. There's also a slight malt undertone going on, that works well with the hops.
Taste - Nice pineapple flavor going on here, and also a slight pine flavor. These 2 flavors are also mixed in with a decent malt flavor, that works well with the hops.
Crisp, clean, and clear feeling. The body is decent. A bit of a pop feeling from the carbonation.
Solid, and tasty beer. This would be good on a hot summer day.

The word Citra usually sells me like the words “Candice Swanepoel in a bikini” - so of course your boy hopped on this offering. But let me tell you: Candice in a bikini this is not. Hell, it’s not even Candice in overalls. It has a rotted grass taste like, well, rotted grass. It’s not exactly terrible, but...

Ay wey.

Clear amber brew with adequate foam to start in the tall Kölsch glass. Carbonation dissipates quite rapidly, though, not what you want in a lager. Aroma of lemon-lime soda. Tastes very lightly of lime peel and more of seltzer, and seems to be missing something to complete the flavor.

Overall a moderately aromatic light brew with a tart note. Just a bit of astringency in the aftertaste but not any bitterness. From the 16 oz can dated 12/15/2020 on the bottom, which I suppose in theory is possible since I purchased this from Bine & Viine on Dec. 17.
