Snuck over to North Park to pick up a barrel-aged bottle, and grab a few 4-packs to go to split with Sonny and Kevin. Ended up sneaking in a few beers first. North Park’s website called for “Double Dry Hopped Fresh Hop West Coast India Pale with Mosaic Fresh Hop Cryo, Mosaic Incognito and Mosaic Cryo and Mosaic.” Sounded delicious.

Poured a medium yellow clear color with two fingers of frothy off-white head when I got it. Could see some slow creeping bubbles along the sides and bottom of the glass. World-class semi-layered foamy lacing. Excellent retention. (Sight - 4.50)

Smelled Mosaic, dank pine, weed, black pepper, viney berry and earthy malt. (Smell - 4.25)

Tasted Mosaic, pine, dank weed, resin, black pepper, viney berry, tangerine rind, earthy malt, floral and hints of cotton candy. (Taste - 4.25)

Medium body. Creamy-to-oily texture. Average carbonation. Spicy finish. (Feel - 4.50)

Just another really good North Park IPA. Excellent overall. (Overall - 4.25)

Canned on 7/5/22; consumed on 7/25/22

Pours a largely translucent, rusty gold body capped with just over a finger of creamy, slightly off-white foam; decent head retention leaves a vague, paper-thin cap, moderate, frothy collar, and a haphazard spatter of webby/spotty lacing dotting the walls of the glass.

Aroma opens with a musty florality and light guava brightened with lemon peel and a flaky malt stabilizer; earthy resins over the middle feed dank pine into notes of papaya as boggy, increasingly sweaty hop overtones dominate over the back end of the bouquet.

Taste finds pillowy pine and composting passionfruit upfront, with a clean, lemon peel zing cleverly cut with crackery malt over the mid-palate; delicate white grapefruit evolves over the back end, while a tinge of vinous white grape lingers on the finish.

Mouthfeel brings a medium body and a prickly fluff of moderate-full carbonation, dispersing to taut, crisp textures over the mid-palate underscored with a subtle, resinous build; the back end glides with hints of pseudo-bitterness as a steadied, silky character maintains.

Sweaty hops trend exceedingly deft and flaky in texture, imparting a casual, easygoing bots to weighty resins and subtle tropical fruit saturation; understated and consistent throughout.

Beautiful floral-fresh hoppy and prominent mosaic-dank nose on this one! Yum! Taste follows with a light and refreshing, tropical hoppy, and piney-dank bitter finish. This is really tasty...just a clean, easy drinking, crushable westie. the Aromatics definitely beat out the taste on this one, but this is wonderfully well made and delicious!
