Snuck over to North Park to pick up a barrel-aged bottle, and grab a few 4-packs to go to split with Sonny and Kevin. Ended up sneaking in a few beers first. North Park’s website called for “Double Dry Hopped Fresh Hop Hazy India Pale Ale with Galaxy, Citra Fresh Hop Cryo, Citra Cryo, Citra Lupomax Freestyle Nelson and Enigma.” Yummy.

Poured a bright light golden hazy color with two fingers of frothy white head when I got it. Could see just a few bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. World-class uneven foamy lacing. Excellent retention. (Sight - 4.50)

Smelled great right away. In order Citra, grapefruit juice, pineapple, tangerine, Nelson, peach, stone fruit, passion fruit, Galaxy, mixed berry, pine and weed. (Smell - 4.50)

Tasted pretty damn good, too, but a tier down from the nose. Got Citra, grapefruit juice, pineapple, Nelson, tangerine, peach, stone fruit, passion fruit, Galaxy, mixed berry, pine, weed and lingering peppery spice. (Taste - 4.25)

Medium body. Creamy texture. Lively carbonation. Long, spicy finish. (Feel - 4.50)

This was such a good hazy IPA, even better than I thought it would be. Excellent. (Overall - 4.50)

Canned on 7/5/22; consumed on 7/21/22

Pours an opaque, milky, straw-gold body capped with multiple fingers of craggy, soapy, eggshell-white foam; good head retention leaves a half-finger of frothy cap, expansive collar crawling up the walls of the glass, and extensive spattering of sudsy, webby lacing holding tightly to the walls of the glass.

Aroma offers musty grapefruit meeting overripe clementine upfront, further invigorated by touches of lemon before softening to fresh-cut grass, wet moss, and brighter passionfruit zest.

Taste finds dank white grape and musty peach opening, with tinges of passionfruit and guava with underripe pineapple accents evolving over the mid-palate; soft strawberry resins are pronounced on the back end, though largely leave wet moss subtleties to linger through the finish.

Mouthfeel brings a medium body along with a silky, moderate carbonation dispersing glossy resins to a subtle grit; slight creaminess past the mid-palate further pronounces a resinous sheen into the back end, leaving a vague, pseudo-bitterness through the finish.

Silken earth derives from boggy hops attenuated to quietly juicy subtext, allowing a steady progression of sweeter, resinous tropical tones to continually wash over the profile; a cooly dank and modestly balanced NEIPA.

Sweet tropical hoppy, hint of earthy-citrus, and orange citrus-dank nose on this one! Taste follows with a well-balanced, sweet fruity hoppy, and an orange-grapefruit citrus bitter finish. This is a delicious single...really nice depth and really flavorful. This is fantastic!
