Canned on 5/10/24; consumed on 6/4/24
Pours a deeply hazy, burnt orange body capped with two fingers of dense, fluffy, off-white foam; good head retention leaves a slim layer of cap, moderate, frothy collar, and steady array of soapy, webby lacing spread around the walls of the glass.
Aromas of apricot pith and candied orange peel yield to grapefruit and pink lemonade, with a soft, resinous gloss settling to a light, bready malt undertone over time.
Taste brings a soft intonation of grapefruit spritz and orange zest upfront as resinous lime crosses a rye bread/flaky malt underscore; a distinct, underlying dankness over the mid-palate steadily becomes enwrapped in mushy green banana and hints of citrus as the profile expands.
Mouthfeel presents a medium body and moderate carbonation, with a taut underscore trending slightly resinous through the mid-palate as flaky dryness peaks to a muggy, dank subtext on the back of the palate.
A steadfast attenuation shows citrus zest increasingly musty as bready malts form the backdrop of this latest Skadoosh iteration; bright meets boggy for a unique hop expression.
